Punahou finished with the most Hawaii High School Athletic Association team state championships in the 2022-23 school year.
The Buff ‘N Blue wound up with nine state titles, followed by ‘Iolani with six and Moanalua with four.
It was a major spring push that put Punahou on top. The Buff ‘N Blue won state championships in five spring sports to take the lead from ‘Iolani, which had six state titles heading into the spring and didn’t add another.
