Among the MANY Transfers: Anelu Lafaele To Farrington, Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa To Kahuku

—–

Every year, there’s a bunch of summer Hawaii high school football transfers, and this year, there’s more than usual, it seems.

Thanks in part to a news tip on the SportsHawaii.com high school sports forum, Bedrock Sports Hawaii has learned by checking athletes’ Twitter profiles that there’s at least 10 (and probably more) football players changing schools.

The biggest name of the bunch is Anelu Lafaele, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound defensive end. Formerly of Saint Louis, he will play for the Farrington Governors this fall. He also has at least 20 Division I FBS college offers, including some from top schools like Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Washington and Wisconsin.

While he was still with Saint Louis, Lafaele was a guest on this video series last month:

Interestingly, of the 10 players transferring, five are headed to Kahuku, the two-time defending Hawaii Open Division champion. And one of them is quarterback Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa, who makes his way to the Red Raiders from the Kapolei Hurricanes.

Tagovailoa-Amosa (click here to see Bedrock story from last season) is the brother of defensive lineman Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, who starred at Kapolei and Notre Dame and played for the Las Vegas Raiders last season. The Tagovailoa-Amosas are cousins of Tua (Miami Dolphins starting QB) and Taulia (University of Maryland quarterback) Tagovailoa.

Here is a full list of known transfers (source: Twitter):
