Nine Hawaii Track And Field Athletes Are Double Winners At Cal Track/Ruby Tuesday Invitational

Nine Hawaii athletes were double winners at the Cal Track/Ruby Tuesday Track and Field Invitational held at Moanalua High last Saturday.

The five girls and four boys double winners were:

>> Mililani’s Deiona Carter (100- and 200-meters)
>> Radford’s Amelia Stebe (400 and part of the winning 4×400 relay team)
>> Radford’s Camryn Smith (300 hurdles and part of the winning 4×400 relay team)
>> Kamehameha’s Tatum Moku (100 hurdles and pole vault)
>> Roosevelt’s Tiana Burgess (long jump and triple jump)

>> Baldwin’s Joseph Randolph (100 and 200)
>> Saint Louis’ Michael Joshua Price (800 and part of the winning 4×400 relay team)
>> Moanalua’s Joshua Sanders (300 hurdles and long jump)
>> Punahou’s John-Keawe Sagapolutele (shot put and discus)

The following competitors at the meet came up with the best marks in their events statewide so far in 2023:

>> Randolph (10.83 in the 100; 22.01 in the 200)
>> Pearl City’s Marcus Rodriguez (49.85 in the 400)
>> Price (2:01.77 in the 800)
>> Kalani’s Yuta Cole (4:08.94 in the 1,5000
>> Mililani’s Timothy Wallace (14.49 in the 110 hurdles)
>> Saint Louis’ Casey Connell, William Reed, Jahren Altura and Price (3:25.70 in the 4×400 relay)
>> Carter (12.43 in the 100)
>> Stebe (58.59 in the 400)
>> Mililani’s Zola O’Donnell (10:18.35 in the 3,000)
>> Moku (14.88 in the 100 hurdles; 13-0 in the pole vault)
>> Kaiser’s Valo Sopoaga (35-08.50 in the shot put)
