Hawaii’s high school track and field athletes were at it again last week in four meets statewide.
And the top times and distances in Hawaii so far in 2022 were eclipsed in six of the 32 separate events.
Over the next few weeks, the athletes and school teams will be moving on to league championships and then the Island Movers/HHSAA Track and Field State Championships at Kamehameha’s Kunuiakea Stadium on May 13-14.
Some of last week’s top performers were by: Mililani senior Stephen Chezik, who pole vaulted a foot higher than the previous 2022 high; and Konawaena junior Torrance Satta-Ellis, who recorded the top triple of jump of the season among his three individual wins and one team relay victory.

Listed below are the six new top Hawaii times or distances for 2022 set last weekend, multiple-event winners from the four meets, the full list of 32 top times or distances for 2022, and all 32 state-meet records for comparative purposes.
