Punahou Bounces Back; ‘Iolani Survives; All Of WEEK 7’s Friday Scores

No. 4 Punahou struck first in the 2023 ILH Open Division regular season wars by beating No. 5 Kamehameha 31-3 at the Warriors’ home field Friday night.

It came at a good time for the Buff ‘N Blue (4-2), who suffered a 38-23 nonleague loss to Campbell last week.

It was the first loss of the season for Kamehameha, which fell to 4-1.

Elsewhere, ‘Iolani (4-0) had its hands full against Damien, but wound up with a 63-56 victory.

The winning touchdown was a CJ Villaneuva to Kekama Kane 51-yard pass. Then with 10 seconds left, the Raiders’ Taniela Taliauli intercepted a Monarchs pass in the end zone to ensure the victory.

All of the WEEK 7 scores so far and Saturday’s schedule follow.
