Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas is back in business.
Since March, after a COVID-19 induced year-long closure, KIHA has been running youth practices and adult scrimmages.
This week, KIHA returned to league action. On Monday, adult Division 1 and Over-35 played timed games with referees to start a shortened five-week season.

On Tuesday and Wednesday night, adult Division 2 and Division 3 opened up with Ironman tournaments, and tonight, Division 4 will start with an Ironman.
Youth divisions continue to practice, with games beginning soon. Other things to look forward to on the KIHA slate soon are the return of public skating and a day planned for KIHA to be a site for people to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
It is hoped, according to hockey director Jami Yoder, that KIHA will be able to start Sunday pickup games/open hockey in the near future.
In the video below, Josh Durand scores for the team in white on a penalty shot against goaltender Kaena Humber before the puck goes right back into play, per Ironman rules. That goal wound up as a semifinal game winner in a tight 1-0 game. That white team wound up winning the final, too.
Check back at BedrockSportsHawaii in a few days for full results and championship team photos of the three Ironman tournaments.
