Team USA Swimming Soaked Up Some Aloha In Hawaii Before Arriving in Tokyo

The team billed it as an extended training camp and it was pretty much a last-minute idea.

“I remember thinking, ‘We were on track with our training, but what was the one thing we were missing,’ ” Team USA swimmer Michael Andrew said in a video blog. “And to me that was the specificity of swimming long course and that adaptation from swimming long course. And so we were super fortunate to be connected with Damon, who runs the American Renaissance Academy. “We’re super fortunate to be given pool space and to be working here with them and their team.”
