Bedrock Sports Hawaii’s WEEK 5 Scores And WEEK 6 Schedule

—–

It was a real doozie out there on the North Shore on Saturday night, with Kahuku rallying late to overcome a deficit and beat Punahou 27-20.

That clean, hard-hitting game went down to the wire and was one of nine Hawaii high school football contests in the islands on Saturday and one of 21 during the Labor Day weekend.

You can check out the ESPNHonolulu.come game story here: Kahuku Scratches Back To Fend Off Major Challenge From Punahou, 27-20.

Soon, Bedrock Sports Hawaii will also be posting a follow-up column on that game and its huge significance in the 2021 season. Be sure to come back and read that “Focus On Football” offering by Nick Abramo. In rankings by ScoringLive.com, Kahuku is No. 1 and Punahou No. 5 in the state. Expect the Buff ‘N Blue (3-1) to be moving up this week after taking the defending Open Division state champion Red Raiders (4-0) to the limit.

On Maui on Saturday, No. 8 Lahainaluna had just enough to get past Kamehameha-Maui, 21-14.

Two other ranked teams picked up lopsided wins — No. 2 Mililani and No. 3 Campbell.

All the WEEK 5 scores and the WEEK 6 schedule follow.
