Farrington Guard Iapani Laloulu Gets D-I Football Offers From Syracuse And Virginia; More Hawaii Recruiting News

Farrington’s Iapani Laloulu is becoming a hot commodity in college football recruiting.

Laloulu, a 6-foot-2, 357-pound, junior guard in the Class of 2023, is a four-star recruit and more schools have come calling.

Iapani Laloulu has eight Division I FBS offers, according to Rivals.com. (Image credit: Iapani Laloulu’s Twitter page).

According to Rivals.com, Laloulu picked up offers from Syracuse, Virginia and Hawaii to make it eight Division I FBS schools interested in his services. He previously had Division I FBS offers from Arizona, Florida, Miami, Oregon and Tennessee.

Oregon would be an interesting choice. His brother, Faaope Laloulu, who played for St. Francis and Farrington in high school, is a freshman playing for the Ducks this season. He’s a second-teamer at left guard.

Here’s what Jed May of UGA.Rivals.com wrote in June about Iapani Laloulu, who made a splash at a summer camp in Georgia:

“Laloulu had his family by his side last week at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Atlanta. Entering the camp as a relative unknown, the big man from the islands dominated the competition en route to winning Offensive Line MVP honors. In the process, he turned plenty of heads and perhaps kickstarted what has been a fairly slow recruitment.”
