Hawaii Prep And KS-Hawaii Advance In BIIF D-II Playoffs; Bedrock’s Saturday Scoreboard

One blowout and one extra-close game. That was the story on the Big Island in the BIIF Division II football playoffs on Saturday.

Hawaii Prep blew out Ka’u 50-0, and Kamehameha-Hawaii escaped with a 7-6 win over Honokaa. Ka Makani and the Warriors will go at it next weekend in the league’s D-II championship game and a spot in the state tournament.

In another game of note, No. 1 Kahuku advanced to the OIA Open title game against No. 3 Mililani next weekend by dropping Waianae 33-7. The Red Raiders clinched a berth in the state Open tournament with the win.

Also, No. 8 Lahainaluna had its hands full against Baldwin, winning 29-22, its 31st straight MIL victory.

On the Garden Isle, Waimea got its third victory of the season in a 24-21 squeaker over Kauai.
