Hawaii wrestler Brenden Jorden Agcaoili won a U.S. Open championship in Las Vegas last week.
Agcaoili captured the title by winning all six of his matches in the U-15 62kg freestyle division.
Another Hawaii youth wrestler, Chazeron Kalamau, placed seventh in the UWW Futures Greco-Roman 35kg division.
Earlier in the week at the U.S. Open, as previously reported, Hawaii’s Grant Nakamura won the 70kg Masters B division.

As a side note, Agcaoili and Kalamau (combined) wrestled against opponents from nine different states — California, Iowa, Tennessee, Michigan, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, Missouri and Ohio.
