Kamehameha Boys And Moanalua Girls Rise To Wrestling Championships At Moanalua Duals

—–

Kamehameha’s boys and Moanalua’s girls teams got through the grueling Moanalua Duals wrestling tournament to win titles on Friday at the Moanalua High gym.

In the boys Gold Bracket championship match, Kamehameha topped Kapolei 51-22. Those winning Warriors placed second at states last year.

In the deciding girls Gold Bracket title match, Moanalua defeated Kamehameha 69-12. And those winning Na Menehune are the reigning state champs looking for a second straight title in the spring.

There were two Silver Bracket champions — the Aiea boys and Waianae girls.

On the boys side, ‘Iolani won the Bronze pool.

Overall, there were 20 boys teams and 10 girls teams.
