The Kauai Interscholastic Federation football schedule for 2022 is out.
In August, Kapaa will begin defense of its league and Division II state titles.
Always looking for ways to improve, coach Mike Tresler scheduled up a division for the Warriors’ nonleague encounters. Kapaa’s opener on Aug. 6 is against defending OIA D-I champion Aiea at the Radford High field.
In addition, Tresler told Bedrock Sports Hawaii that OIA Open contender Mililani will visit the Garden Isle to go against Kapaa in a scrimmage July 28. The site is to be determined, but Tresler is trying to get Vidinha Stadium in Lihue for that one.
Poki Tafea found some room after making a catch in Kapaa’s 61-0 victory over Hawaii Prep in the state Division II semifinals last season.
