Mililani, Saint Louis, Kapolei And Aiea Triumph Over Mainland Teams

Four Hawaii teams — No. 3 Mililani, No. 5 Saint Louis, No. 7 Kapolei and Aiea — defeated mainland opponents in games Friday night.

Two teams from the 808, however, lost games to out of state foes so far in WEEK 4 — No. 4 Campbell on Friday and Waialua.

Two more Hawaii vs. mainland are scheduled for Saturday.

>> The Maui Interscholastic League got underway for the first time this season after the devastating Aug. 8 fires in Lahaina. At Kamehameha-Maui, the Warriors shut out Baldwin.

>> No. 1 Kahuku improved to 4-0 in Kalihi by defeating Farrington in a renewal of a longtime OIA “East” rivalry.

>> No. 6 Kamehameha handed No. 10 Waipahu its third loss of the season. The Marauders are in (middle tier) Division I and all three losses have been to (top tier) Open Division teams.
