Mililani Teams, Roosevelt’s Burgess, Moanalua’s Sanders Stand Out At OIA Track And Field Championships

Mililani rolled to team victories at the OIA Track and Field Championships at Pearl City High on Saturday.

In the individual events, Roosevelt’s Tiana Burgess and Moanalua’s Joshua Sanders lit it up.

Burgess won the girls 100 and 300 hurdles, the long jump and the triple jump.

Sanders was victorious in the boys 110 hurdles and long jump and was part of the winning 4×400 relay team.

Trojans Are Champions

En route to the team titles, Mililani got individual girls victories from Deiona Carter (100, 200), Zola O’Donnell (1,500, 3,000), Atinaeleili Fonoti (discus) and Ashlynn Mahelona (pole vault).

On the boys side, Trojans individual winners were Jaylan Johnson (100), Payton Mukkada (3,000) and Cal’von Baker (high jump, triple jump).

Johnson was also part of the winning 4×100 team along with Timothy Wallace, Tuan Pettaway and Andrew Manivong.

Moanalua’s Rahieum Lee And Radford’s Amelia Stebe Also Win Multiple Events

Two others doubled up on wins.

Moanalua’s Rahieum Lee won the 800 and ran a leg on Na Mehehune’s victorious 4x4o0 relay team.

Radford’s Amelia Stebe won the 400 and took part in the Rams’ winning 4x 400 relay team.
