Taylor Malloe was picked as the Hawaii high school football player of the week by Bedrock Sports Hawaii.
The Moanalua senior quarterback brought Na Menehune back from a 21-point deficit with four second-half touchdown passes for a 27-21 victory over host Roosevelt in an OIA Division I game last week.
With the victory, Moanalua (4-1) clinched a spot in the league’s Division I championship game, at home against Aiea (3-1) on Dec. 11.
Two of Malloe’s TD passes went to freshman Jayce Bareng — for 97 and 30 yards. The others went to Keenan McCaddy for 55 yards and Andy Canencia for 22 yards.
