Moku And Fetui Go Big; Punahou Teams Roll At ILH Track And Field Championships

—–

Tatum Moku is at it again, making major waves in Hawaii track and field.

At the ILH championships Friday, the Kamehameha athlete won four events, breaking meet records in the long jump (18 feet, 7 inches), pole vault (12-6) and 100-meter hurdles (14.66 seconds). The other victory came in the 300-meter hurdles (45.41).

And it should be noted that her pole vault achievement that day, although the best ever at the ILH championship, is still 1 foot, 1 inch less than her personal record of 13-7.

Moku heads to Maui along with all of the state’s other track and field qualifiers for the Island Movers/HHSAA Track and Field State Championships on Friday and Saturday. That will be her last high school meet before she’ll head to Washington State for her college career.

In other big new from the ILH championships, Punahou won the boys and girls league championships.
