The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Taumua, now a Waipahu lineman for his senior year after transferring from Aiea, has a gathering going Sunday at the Republik for his announcement. Those who attend the free event are asked to wear gear of one of the teams in the running for his commitment.

Of his 22 Division I FBS offers, Taumua is down to the final five — Oregon, Nebraska, Alabama, Arizona and Auburn. He is the No. 1-rated recruit in the 808 for the Class of 2024.
