WEEK 12 Wrap: Six More State Berths Clinched; Kaimuki Pulls Off Shocker

Six teams clinched state tournament berths Saturday night in Hawaii high school football.

And one of those teams pulled off the biggest surprise of the night: the Kaimuki Bulldogs dropped previously undefeated Pearl City 35-28. It not only put the Bulldogs into the state Division II tourney but it also dropped the Chargers out of contention.

Kaimuki plays Roosevelt next week for the OIA D-II championship.

Three of those teams clinching a state spot Saturday also won league championships

>> No. 7 Konawaena beat Keaau 48-6 to wrap up the BIIF D-I championship.

>> No. 8 Lahainaluna defeated Maui 42-0 for the MIL D-I title.

The two others clinching a state spot were:

>> No. 1 Kahuku, with a 49-7 win over No. 6 Kapolei in an OIA Open semifinal

>> No. 2 Mililani, with a 55-37 victory over No. 3 Campbell in the other OIA Open semifinal
