Aiea has added a nonleague football game against a mainland opponent.
West Anchorage (Anchorage, Alaska) will visit to play Na Alii for an Aug. 26 game at the Radford High field.
It is important to note that Na Alii coach Wendell Say says the game may move to Sept. 1.
The Eagles from the 49th state went 4-5 last year.
Aiea, which recently lost numerous players to transfer, went 9-4 and made it all the way to the 2022 OIA Division I championship game before losing 38-30 to Waipahu. Na Alii also advanced to the state D-I semifinals, where they lost 27-24 to Konawaena.
Including Aiea’s two regular-season losses (27-24 to Kapolei and 20-14 to Waipahu), the four defeats were by a total of 20 points.
