For the second time in a row, a place-kicker is the Bedrock Sports Hawaii Football Player of the Week in the 808.
This week, it’s Konawaena’s Roonui Satta-Ellis, who kicked a 32-yard field in overtime to give the Wildcats a dramatic 24-21 upset of defending Division I state champion and 10th-ranked Hilo on Friday.
Satta-Ellis also kicked three extra points in the game.

En route to the victory that snapped the Vikings’ 23-game BIIF winning streak, the Konawaena defense held Hilo with no points on the first possession of OT.
A week earlier, Lasse Stolten kicked a late fourth-quarter, game-winning 26-yard field goal to lift the Waialua Bulldogs over McKinley 15-13 and was named the state’s player of the week.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Satta-Ellis told the Hawaii Tribune-Herald. “I was kind of like, ‘Is this a dream? Am I somewhere else right now?’ ”
