Mililani Football Team To Visit Oregon’s 6A Runner-Up Sheldon High For A Sept. 1 Game

The Mililani football team will visit Sheldon High of Eugene, Oregon, for a Sept. 1 game.

The Irish are the 6A Oregon state runners-up, going 12-1 with their only loss in the title game to West Linn 23-14 last season.

The Trojans, who went 7-5 overall a year ago, are always looking to play some of the nation’s best teams. Four of the five losses in 2022 were to teams ranked in the High School Football America Top 100 — Mater Dei (No. 4), Mission Viejo (No. 29) and state Open Division champion Kahuku (No. 41) twice. The other loss was to state Open runner-up Punahou, which finished No. 99 in MaxPreps.com’s national rankings.
