Punahou’s Christopher Paige and Hannah Miura Are Multiple Winners At ILH Track And Field Championships

Punahou junior Hannah Miura ran to two individual and two relay victories at the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Track and Field Championships at Punahou on Friday.

On the boys side, Punahou senior Christopher Paige took home the gold three times.

Aside from Yoshioka and Salanoa, girls and boys double winners on the day were Little (also victorious in the 400 meters in 1:00.23), ‘Iolani’s Lexi Fujita (17 feet, 0.75 inches in the triple jump, and 5-2 in the high jump), Kamehameha’s Tatum Moku (11-9 in the pole vault, and 15.63 in the 100 hurdles), and Kamehameha’s William Ho (1:58.30 in the 800, and 4;13.78 in the 1,500) and Kealii Kupono Dikilato (46-04 in the shot put, and 157-06 in the shot put).

In 2019, Moku was in eighth grade and won the varsity Cal Track Ruby Tuesday Invitational and made headlines: Middle Schoolers Win High School Track Events at Moanalua.

After her freshman season was wiped out due to COVID-19 in 2020, Moku — and all Hawaii high school track athletes — was fortunate to be able to compete this year, even though the season was whittled down to just a few events.

Team and individual results follow.
