UPDATED: 13 New Hawaii Track And Field Top Marks For 2023 After Big Early Season Invitational

One meet. Thirteen brand-new top marks in Hawaii track and field for 2023.

On Saturday at the Cal Track/Ruby Tuesday Invitational at Moanalua High, the following athletes came through with the season’s best times or distances:

>> Baldwin’s Joseph Randolph (10.83 in the 100; 22.01 in the 200)
>> Pearl City’s Marcus Rodriguez (49.85 in the 400)
>> Saint Louis’ Michael Joshua Price (2:01.77 in the 800)
>> Kalani’s Yuta Cole (4:08.94 in the 1,5000
>> Mililani’s Timothy Wallace (14.49 in the 110 hurdles)
>> Saint Louis’ Casey Connell, William Reed, Jahren Altura and Price (3:25.70 in the 4×400 relay)
>> Mililani’s Deiona Carter (12.43 in the 100)
>> Radford’s Amelia Stobe (58.59 in the 400)
>> Mililani’s Zola O’Donnell (10:18.35 in the 3,000)
>> Kamehameha’s Tatum Moku (14.88 in the 100 hurdles; 13-0 in the pole vault)
>> Kaiser’s Valo Sopoaga (35-08.50 in the shot put)

Punahou’s John-Keawe Sagapolutele and Kamehameha’s Tatum Moku are owners of two top 2023 Hawaii track and field marks so far this spring.

One of the biggest noteworthy items from the meet was the performance of Kamehameha’s Tatum Moku, who is aiming to surpass the state meet record 13 feet, 1 inch she set last season. On Saturday, she cleared 13-0.

Moku has a shot at another state meet record. By running a 14.88 in the 100 hurdles on Saturday, she is .77 behind the state meet record of 14.11.

The top marks this spring in all 16 boys and 16 girls events follow:
