University of Hawaii starting offensive lineman Solo Vaipulu was arrested for a quarantine violation, according to a Hawaii News Now story Monday.
According to the story, a witness reported to state authorities that Vaipulu left his quarantine site often. In addition, Hawaii News Now also reported that Vaipulu moved to a different address than the one he gave the state, the arrest was for violating quarantine and lying to state officials, and that he was booked and charged with bail at $4,000.
Vaipulu, a junior who has started 23 of the 24 games he’s played the last two years, is 6 feet 2, 310 pounds. He is a 2018 graduate of Corona Centennial High in Corona, Calif. He was named to the Polynesian Player of the Year Watch List before last season.
