Bedrock’s Outstanding WEEK 11 Football Player Kayman Lewis Of Roosevelt Finishes High School Career In Style

—–

In his last high school game, Roosevelt senior quarterback Kayman Lewis threw for 415 yards and four touchdowns.

A keepsake memory for sure.

Because of his performance in a 30-29 OIA Division I loss to Kailua on Saturday, Lewis was chosen as Bedrock Sports Hawaii’s outstanding football player of WEEK 11.

Unfortunately for Lewis and the rest of the Rough Riders (2-5, 1-5), they will not be playing in the OIA semifinals this weekend. They finished in a three-way tie for fifth place in the seven-team league.

Lewis, who is 6 feet 2 and 190 pounds, went over the 300-yard mark four times this season, but his 415 against Kailua was the first time he passed 400.

The 415 was 66 yards short of the Roosevelt school record of 481 set by Andrew Kamanao in 1991.

This season, Lewis has passed for 1,900 yards, which is eighth statewide among all divisions. He also had 20 touchdown throws and six interceptions.

As a junior in 2021, Lewis passed for 887 yards and nine touchdowns in a season shortened to six games by COVID-19.

Here is a Twitter video of Lewis’ highlights against Kailua:
